It’s a wait-and-see deal for AR

When Anoka Ramsey will get a chance to open its 2009 baseball season has come down to this: a simple wait-and-see deal.

Right now the eyes are on the winter storm entering the state from the west. The amount of snow and rain received within areas of the state will dictate the weekend schedule — what schools within the community college conference (MCAC) will have a dry field and what schools will not.

Attempts to schedule inside the Dome are on hold as well until the weather actually moves into the heart of the state early Tuesday morning. No team, including Anoka Ramsey, has a scheduled Metrodome date as of 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 30.

Consequently, Anoka Ramsey will go into a holding pattern until the weather improves. Its next full-team practice is Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. indoors. The next doubleheader on the schedule is still Friday, 2 p.m. at Wintercrest West against Mesabi Range.

Another update will be posted before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31.
