The schedule gets bashed again
Weather, wet fields and mandatory make-up games have all added up Monday to deal another blow this season to the Anoka Ramsey baseball schedule.
After its 12-11 Monday afternoon loss in nine innings to the Bethel University JV team, Anoka Ramsey will now have to sit and wait until Sunday (April 19) before it is scheduled to play again (in Brainerd against Central Lakes College). A scheduled Central Division doubleheader with rival Fergus Falls Tuesday was called off because of a wet and mushy field, while a non-divisional game Friday against Hibbing was called off because of a make-up doubleheader it [Hibbing] must play that day against Mesabi Range.
Unless Anoka Ramsey is able to find another orphaned team as an opponent this week, it will sitting around during nice ball-playing weather before heading into the final week of the regular season when it plays five doubleheaders:
•April 20 against the Augsburg JV
•April 21 against Fergus Falls (the make-up date)
•April 22 against Ridgewater College
•April 25 against St. Cloud Technical College
•April 26 against Fergus Falls
