PROSPECTIVE PLAYERS: FYI
Prospective student-athletes planning who desire to become part of the Anoka Ramsey baseball team for the first time this coming school year should begin taking the first steps.
•One, complete registration for fall semester.
•Two, have completed a physical examination prior to Aug. 24 or have had a physical from the previous spring that is still in good standing (college athletics physicals are good for a 12-month period). Paperwork must be presented at the August meeting, date and time to be determined later this summer. Players without an up-to-date physical will not be allowed to participate during the fall try-out session/season. A physical from this summer will be good through next spring’s regular season.
•Three, if a transfer student, make sure all transcripts are in order and submitted to the Anoka Ramsey records office.
•Four, make sure you are in contact with head coach Tom Yelle either via e-mail or phone. Coach Yelle may be reached:
612 387 8085 or ty@abcsportsweek.com
The fall semester schedule — dates and times — of baseball workout and try-out sessions will be finalized before Aug. 10. Tentatively, sessions will take place 2:30-5 p.m. each school day from the week preceding Labor Day Weekend and through the third week of September, weather permitting. Some weekend dates may be added this year as well.
